Description

BAQUACIL pH Decreaser (6 lb) is designed to lower the pH levels in your Baquacil treated pool. Your pH level should be between 7.2-7.8 ppm.

Dosage

1 1/4 lb per 10,000 gallons of water will lower pH by 0.2 ppm.

Directions

  1. Test your water's pH every week with Baquacil Test Strips and adjust if necessary. Generally, 1 1/4 lb of Baquacil pH Decreaser in 10,000 gallons of pool water will lower pH by 0.2. Never add more than 2 lb of Baquacil pH Decreaser per 10,000 gallons in a single treatment.
  2. Allow the water to circulate for 12 to 24 hours. Recheck your pH reading. Repeat treatment as necessary until pH of 7.2 to 7.8 is obtained.

Never make additions near metal fittings. Do not allow undissolved products to remain on the pool bottom. Brush any undissolved material to dissolve. Never allow the pool pH water to drop below 7.2 as damage to the pool surface and equipment may result.

Is good stuff for pool . . . packaging leaves some work

This is a good product for the price, no problems there. They have moved from buckets to bags now. The bucket lids would pop open during transit, spilling in the box and you could recover most of it if it was all wrapped in a bag. Now they are packaging it in plastic bags, which sounds good. However, 2 bags out of 8 were punctured this last time. Thankfully they put the 8 bags in one big bag and I recovered it . . . and put it in some of the old buckets I had saved. I would say they need to put a seal on their buckets (like they do on the ph increaser) or make a better heavier duty bag to package it in. The product is good.

Crystal Clear

I have been using Baquacil for over 23 years. The chemistry behind baquacil by far is much easier to keep the pool balanced. The stability last around 12-14 days without having to shock. I stick with all products produced by baquacil. I found that using this web site is easy, prices are better than brick and mortar stores and the shipping meets my expectations.
