ProTeam Gentle Spa:
- Adjust water balance factors to appropriate ranges. pH 7.2-7.5, Total Alkalinity 100-120 ppm, calcium hardness 150-250 ppm.
- Using this product in the spa for the first time, add 6 ounces (3/4 cup) for every 200 gallons of spa water directly to the water, with the system in operation. In most spas this initial dosage will introduce enough product to last between draining and refilling the spa. Residential spas with light to moderate use should be drained and refilled a minimum of every 3 months.
Spas that require frequent additions to the water, to maintain operational levels, may need to add additional product.
- For spas that require water to be added more than two times to complete drain and refill add 2 ounces (1/4 cup)for every 200 gallons monthly.
- Water treated with this product should not be discharged into lakes, streams, or ponds. Disperse discharge even over lawn or yard.
ProTeam Spa Filter Clean:
- Remove the filter from the spa and rinse off any excess debris from the pleats of the filter. Use a straight nozzle and work from the top to the bottom of the filter. Avoid using pressure washers when cleaning the filter
- If you prefer to clean your filter by soaking it in a cleaner, add 16 ounces of this product to 2 1/2 gallons of fresh water. ALWAYS add chemicals to the water, NEVER add water to chemicals. Mix the solution thoroughly in an appropriate size container. Place the cartridge into the solution and let soak for thirty to sixty minutes. Do not soak your filters in steel, metal , aluminum or similar containers. Alternatively you may apply this product directly to the filter via a spray bottle (not provided). Spray this product to the top of the filter and continue spraying to the bottom of the cartridge. Allow cleaner to stand for 15 minutes.
- Rinse filter completely.
- Spas using chlorine or bromine should clean filters every 6 to 8 weeks. If you are using biguanide or other type of system, then filters should be cleaned every 4 to 6 weeks. Spa with more frequent use should perform these steps more frequently.
ProTeam Spa Foam Fighter:
- Shake thoroughly.
- Pour a small amount of ProTeam Spa Foam Fighter directly on foam.
- In a matter of seconds foam will disappear and ProTeam Spa Foam Fighter will leave a fresh, clean fragrance behind.
- It is recommended that spa and hot tub water be drained after 3 treatments due to the amount of buildup in water due to perspiration.
ProTeam Spa Sky Blue Clarifier:
- Turn spa/hot tub pump on and apply 1 ounce per 100 galons of spa water. Product may be applied directly to spa water and spa can continue to be used during treatment.
- Check filter and clean thoroughly after 24 hours of use.
- Treatment may be repeated as needed.
For best results, maintain proper sanitizer levels, checking with a reliable test kit before using spa. Pretreat with ProTeam Gentle Spa to reduce eye and skin irritation and add a delicate moisturizing fragrance. Use ProTeam Spa Shock weekly or after heavy use to oxidize organic contaminants.
ProTeam Spa Metal Magic:
Start Up and Prevention:
- Initially and weekly thereafter, with circulation system operating, add 1 ounce of this product for every 100 gallons of water. Add directly to the spa.
- Test the spa water a minimum of one ounce per week and make necessary adjustments to pH, total alkalinity, and sanitizer levels.
Removal of Fresh Stains and Scale:
- Clean and rinse the filter with ProTeam Spa Filter Clean according to label instructions.
- Balance the spa water to appropriate ranges, including pH and alkalinity.
- With circulation system operating, add 2-3 ounces of this product for every 100 gallons of water. Add directly to the spa.
- Continue to circulate water for at least one hour.
- Spa may become cloudy after application. Clarifiers will help speed up the recovery. Occasionally remove and rinse filter as the filter is removing particulate causing cloudy water.
- Existing stains and scale buildup may need brushing to help speed up the removal.
ProTeam Spa pH Increaser:
Proteam Spa pH Increaser raises the pH of water in spas and hot tubs. pH levels should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6. When the pH levels are lower than 7.2 water may be corrosive. Water below 7.2 will start to degrade spa plumbing and equipment. Water may not be as comfortable for users to enjoy. This product is compatible with chlorine, bromine, biguanide, silver-mineral, and ozone-treated pools and spas.
- Test spa water frequently during the week and make necessary adjustments.
- Turn on circulation system.
- If pH is between 6.8 and 7.1, apply 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) for every 500 gallons of water. Apply this product directly to the spa water. If pH is less than 6.8, apply 2 ounces (4 tablespoons) for every 500 gallons of water.
- Circulate for 15 to 30 minutes and retest pH.
- If pH is below 7.2, repeat steps 2-4 until pH is between 7.2-7.6.
Read entire label and use in accordance with directions and caution statements. NEVER MIX DIFFERENT PRODUCTS TOGETHER IN THE SAME BOTTLE OR PAIL. ADD THIS PRODUCT DIRECTLY TO THE SPA WATER.
ProTeam Spa pH Decreaser:
- Test spa water frequently during the week and make necessary adjustments
- Turn on circulation system.
- If ph is between 7.7 and 8.0 apply 1/4 ounce(2 teaspoons) for every 500 gallons of water directly to the spa. If ph is greater than 8.0, apply 1/2 ounce (4 teaspoons) to every 500 gallons of water.
- Circulate for 15 to 30 minutes and retest ph.
- If ph is above 7.6, repeat steps 2-4 until ph is between 7.2-7.6
If you are adjusting the ph with some frequency, test total alkalinity and make necessary adjustments. Use of ProTeams Gentle Spa will help maintain a stable ph and buffers alkalinity.
