ProTeam Spa Multi Shock Extra

When starting up a new spa or hot tub, superchlorinate to satisfy chlorine demand and to establish a disinfectant chlorine residual of 1.0 ppm to 2.0 ppm available chlorine. To accomplish this, add 1 oz of this product per 500 gallons of spa or hot tub water. This product should be added daily or as needed at the rate of 1/4 to 1/8 oz per 500 gallons of spa or hot tub water to maintain chlorine residual at all times to 1.0 to 2.0 ppm as determined by a suitable test kit. The pH should be maintained 7.2 to 7.6. A shock treatment should be made every week. For the shock treatment, add 1 oz of this product per 500 gallons of spa or hot tub water. Bathers should not be permitted in the spa or hot tub after the shock treatment until the chlorine residual has reached the 1.0 to 2.0 ppm range. Reentry into treated spa or hot tub is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm of chlorine. Spa and hot tub water should be changed about every 60 days.
