The Orenda PR-10000 Phosphate Remover is designed to react with the phosphates in the water to make them able to be removed from the pool. The formula makes the inert phosphates sink out of solution to be vacuumed or filtered out later. This product may make the water cloudy for up to 2 days after application.

Note: Do not add more that 8 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water. Apply PR-10000 evenly into the water around the perimeter. Use the reference chart for complete dosing information, after checking ortho-phosphates level with a test kit. Do not apply more than 8 ounces in an average residential pool per treatment. Clouding will occur upon addition and increase filter pressure, so backwash and/or clean the filter as necessary. Recheck the phosphate level after application and treat accordingly. Also test phosphate levels monthly to ensure proper maintenance. Be aware that phosphate testing is subjective and is influenced by existing algae. Algae in a pool will result in a false reading. Poly-phosphorus and other chemicals are added by municipalities to protect the infrastructure piping. Poly-phosphorus does not show up on ortho-phosphate test kits, therefore will not display true phosphate loading.

This product works

I used this product to reduce phosphates in my inground pool. Previously I tried other products and they did not do the job. A few ounces of Orenda reduced phosphates to zero.

Works as advertised

This was the cheapest per ounce I could find for this product. I've used it in the past with 100% success. For whatever reason we get phosphates in our pool at least a couple of times a year and this stuff always resolves that issue.

Phosphates over 4000 ppb

Orenda PR-10,000 Phosphate Remover worked excellently. As per the directions, I didn't over apply PR-10,000 and try to reduce the phosphates in one application. Otherwise it would have quickly clogged my filter. I did four separate applications and back washed my filter twice. I highly recommend the product.

Works Well

PR-10,000 Phosphate does the job. The pool water turned cloudy for a few hours, but I knew it was working when the pressure of my pool filter slowly began to increase. After a 48 hours I backed washed the filter and got the water tested.
