Treatment of Visible Pool Algae:
Superchlorinate pool water prior to application of this product and circulate 1 to 2 hours before applying this product. Pools with light to medium pool algae growth, add 4 fluid ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons directly to the pool water. Pools with heavy algae growth, add 8 fluid ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water. Brush pool surfaces to increase circulation and to remove algae from pool walls and bottom. Black algae must be brushed vigorously before and after application for best results. After applying this product, continuously operate pool pump for 48 hours. In cases of persistent algae, repeat brushing and product application after 3-4 days. Once pool is clear, clean the filter with a cleaning solution for swimming pool filters.
Algae Free Maintenance:
This product can be used regularly with all other pool maintenance products to keep pools clear and free from algae. At least twice weekly, adjust pH (7.2-7.6), total alkalinity (80-120 ppm), and free available chlorine levels (1-4 ppm) to appropriate levels. After any necessary water balance adjustments, add an initial dose of 8 ounces of this product for every 10,000 gallons of pool water. Every other week afterwards, add 4 ounces of this product for every 10,000 gallons of water in the pool. Brush or vacuum surfaces weekly regardless of appearance.
